Investigating the Implications of Code-Switching and Assimilating at Work for African American Professionals

The purpose of this study is to understand the experiences Black Professionals face assimilating majority cultural norms. Through analysis qualitative data 14 one-hour interviews People employed at director+ level, examined and impact on overall well￾being in American Workplace. results indicated workplace does not encourage truly bring their full selves work. Implications for practice include considering lifestyle norms minorities as organizations continue efforts employees Limitations, practical applications, future research areas are also discussed.
